| Chhath Pooja Celebration-2009 |

In Chhath puja people worship the god Sun as it is the main source of living being survival on the earth. The puja is done for two days. In this puja people do fasting the whole day. In the evening they gather at the bank of the river and worship the setting sun. On the next consecutive day they again gather at the same place and worship the rising sun. After this puja is completed and people break their fasting by eating the 'prasad' of puja. |
ANT-Aus celebrated the Chhath puja again for the second time in Sydney. Number of people joined the puja held on 24th of October at Tempe Park. ANT-Aus has been continuously celebrating all the festivals of terai region of Nepal as a part of preserving an making people aware of Nepalese culCalendar
